Ukraine teaches NATO how to fight at sea

NATO is studying the experience of the Defense Forces of Ukraine from combat operations in the Black Sea in order to adapt to modern military realities.

NATO countries are studying the experience of Ukraine in conducting combat operations at sea. First of all, allies are interested in the successful use of naval drones, Rear Admiral Timothy Henry, deputy commander of NATO forces in Norfolk, said, Ukrinform writes.

The Deputy Commander commented that the Alliance is trying to pay close attention to best practices in all regions where armed conflict at sea takes place. In particular, the allies are studying the tactics of Ukrainian soldiers in the Black Sea, and are monitoring the situation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.

“We look beyond the present, learn from what’s happening now, and analyze where technology can take us in the next three, five, ten years,” Henry emphasized.

The rear admiral noted that the success of NATO lies precisely in the fact that the Alliance actively monitors the development of events in the world and is able to adapt well to changes.

The day before, USM wrote that NATO will be able to arm “Trojan” vessels with containers with drones.
