Ukraine wants to strengthen the security of the Grain Agreement

The prospects of the Grain Agreement were discussed at a working meeting chaired by Zelenskyy in Odesa.

During the working meeting in Odesa, Ukrainian officials discussed the current state of the port infrastructure and ways to protect it. Attention was also focused on the development of alternative routes for the export of agricultural products, reports the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.

It is, in particular, about the development of railway and road infrastructure on the western borders and near Ukrainian ports.

“The enemy continues to create difficulties for the work of Ukrainian ports, in particular, it actually blocks the work of the largest Ukrainian Black Sea port “Pivdennyi”. As a result, at least 10 countries are food insecure. In order to amortize the damage caused, we plan to increase the throughput capacity of the Danube port cluster,” said Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov.

It will be recalled that since the start of the “grain corridor” the Ukrainian ports of “Pivdennyi”, “Chornomorsk” and “Odesa” have already exported more than 30 million tons of food.

Previously, USM wrote that Ukraine will provide financial guarantees for vessels involved in the Grain Initiative.
