Ukrainian ports have transhipped over 91 million tons of cargo since the beginning of the year

According to the eight months results, port operators in the seaports of Ukraine handled 91 million 729 thousand tons of cargo.
This is 14,232 tons (-13.4%) less than the same period last year, the press service of the USPA (Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority) notes.
Among them, 70.2 million tons of export cargo (-13.1%), 15.36 million tons of imports (-4.7%) and 5.1 million tons of transit (-29.5%). They also handled 1.01 million tons of coastal cargo (-41%).
Cargo turnover was distributed as follows:
- Ore – 24.3 million tons (-19.4%);
- Grain cargoes – 26.1 million tons (-16.8%);
- Oil products – 1.19 million tons (+ 48%);
- Containers – 672 956 TEU (-2.5%).
For eight months, only two ports have exceeded the transshipment volumes of last year. Izmail port handled 2.5 million tons (+ 17.4%), Ust-Dunabe – 34.6 thousand tons (+ 138%).
The ports of Olvia and Reni are close to last year’s rates. The cargo turnover of the SSP Olvia for 8 months amounted to 2.65 million tons (-0.4%), the port of Reni – 586 thousand tons (-0.5%).
