UZ transported 18 thousand wagons of grain at a reduced rate


The wagons were sent within the scope of the export discount. Over UAH 233 million has already been used to implement the project.

This became known during a meeting of representatives of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia with participants in the agricultural market, writes Rail.insider.

Deputy Director of the Department of Transportation Technology and Commercial Work of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia Valeriy Tkachev said that 18,903 wagons have already been sent with a 30% discount.

Also, 17,818 units have reached the destination stations. It is known that over UAH 233 million has already been used to implement the project.

In turn, the average daily rate of unloading wagons in the ports of Greater Odessa is currently 1,211 units/day.

“Over the past week, this rate has decreased by 10 wagons, or by 0.82%. At the same time, the number of grain wagons moving towards the ports has increased significantly over the week — by 738 units (+9.55%), to 8,482 units,” Valeriy Tkachev specified.
