Since the beginning of 2026, the Russians have damaged over 170 facilities in Ukrainian ports

Since the beginning of the year, more than 20 civilian vessels and more than 170 port infrastructure facilities have been attacked in Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the State Enterprise “USPA” Mykola Kravchuk during a meeting with the European Business Association.
“The key emphasis is the security situation. In the fourth year of a full-scale war, the enemy is systematically attacking port infrastructure, and these attacks are only intensifying,” Kravchuk noted.
According to him, in these conditions, the activities of the USPA are systematically focused on three areas – security, protection and restoration.
“This is a set of solutions: first of all, interaction with the Defense Forces and business to protect ports. In parallel, engineering and technical strengthening of critical infrastructure, strengthening the protection of energy facilities, personnel safety and continuity of transshipment,” the head of the USPA summarized.
The meeting also paid additional attention to legislative initiatives. In particular, the USPA supported the draft Procedure for Compensation of Investments in Port Infrastructure, developed by member companies of the Logistics Committee of the Association together with the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
Separately, the prospects for the restoration of the ports of the Mykolaiv region were also discussed. On the night of April 17, the Russian Federation once again attacked the ports of the Danube: infrastructure and railway approaches were damaged.
