Kernel increased net profit in January-March by 2.2 times to $89 million

The net consolidated profit of the agricultural holding Kernel in the third quarter of the 2026 fiscal year (January-March) amounted to $89 million.

This is 2.2 times more than the figure for the third quarter of 2025, the company said in its report, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

According to it, the company’s consolidated revenue in the third quarter increased by 3% to $1,180 million, and compared to the previous quarter, income increased by 7%, mainly due to higher selling prices for oilseed products.

The net change in the fair value of biological assets resulted in a loss of $22 million compared to a loss of $24 million for the same period last year. Cost of sales decreased by 4% to $947 million.

Delivery and handling costs increased by 11% year-on-year and by 37% quarter-on-quarter, driven by a higher share of contracts concluded on CIF/CFR terms.

As a result, gross profit in the third quarter of FY26 increased by 54% compared to the third quarter of FY25 to $211 million.

Also, in the third quarter of FY26, the group received EBITDA of $156 million, which is 41% more than in the same period of the previous year.

The agricultural holding specified that oilseed processing brought EBITDA of $42 million (17% more than in the previous year) due to the strengthening of vegetable oil prices on world markets against the backdrop of a sharp increase in prices for petroleum products. EBITDA from agriculture amounted to $26 million.

Previously, USM reported that Kernel is installing solar panels on grain elevators: two pilot projects are already being implemented.
