Attack on Chornomorsk: Russian drone hits Kernel terminal for second time in a month

The Russian attack on the Kernel terminal damaged the infrastructure for storing and transshipment of grain, and partially destroyed the warehouses.
As a result of a Russian drone attack on the Odesa region on the night of June 5, the Kernel terminal in the port of Chornomorsk was damaged. Liga.net reports.
Part of the infrastructure for storing and transshipment of grain was damaged. This led to the spillage of products and disruption of the terminal’s operation. Auxiliary warehouses were also partially destroyed. The company is currently eliminating the consequences of the attack and assessing the extent of the damage.
“Most importantly, none of the employees were injured,” Kernel emphasized. “All contractual obligations to partners will be fulfilled in a timely manner, because Kernel has an effective system for adapting logistics chains to modern challenges.”
Recall, a month ago, the Kernel oil terminal on the Black Sea stopped working after direct hits. Then, as a result of a terrorist attack by the Russian Federation, more than 1,100 tons of oil leaked into the sea.
USM also recently reported that Romania had neutralized a Russian mine that had washed ashore from the Black Sea.
