Cargo turnover in the port of Chornomorsk increased by 30% in December

In December 2021, the operators of the seaport of Chornomorsk handled 2.78 million tons of cargo.
This is 29.6% higher than the turnover indicator for the same period in December 2020, the USPA reported.
In the structure of cargo turnover in December, the following types of cargo are in the lead:
- grain – 1.83 million tons or 65.9% of the total cargo turnover;
- heavy vehicles – 277 thousand tons or 10%;
- bulk vegetable oil – 98 thousand tons or 3.5%;
- coal – 93 thousand tons or 3.3%;
- containers – 88 thousand tons or 3.2%;
- ferrous metals – 68 thousand tons or 2.5%;
- construction – 58 thousand tons or 2.1%.
Among port operators, the best indicators were provided by:
- “Transbalkterminal” LLC – 969 thousand tons or 34.9% of the total cargo turnover;
- SE “CSP Chornomorsk “- 426 thousand tons or 15.3%;
- “Illichivsk Grain Terminal” LLC – 360 thousand tons or 13%;
- “Risoil Terminal” JV LLC – 307 thousand tons or 11.1%;
- “Black Sea Fishing Port” LLC – 290 thousand tons or 10.4%.
In December, 161 vessels were handled in the port.
