Grain from Ukraine: plans to send ships with grain to African countries


The Minister of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, Mykola Solskyi, discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products with the German Minister, Cem Ozdemir.

In particular, the parties discussed the export of Ukrainian agricultural products to Europe, namely the transit of grain to European ports. The officials also discussed the work of the maritime corridor from the ports of Odesa region.

Mykola Solskyi reported that Ukraine plans to send ships with humanitarian grain to African countries as part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Grain from Ukraine initiative. In particular, 25 thousand tons to Nigeria, 32 thousand tons to Sudan and 12.5 thousand tons to Somalia.

Cem Ozdemir expressed his solidarity and noted that his country will continue to support Ukrainian farmers.
