The Russians destroyed more than 10,000 tons of grain in the port of Izmail
Tonight, the Russians attacked the grain infrastructure of Odesa Region with Shahed-136 kamikaze drones.
During the attack, the Russians destroyed 13,000 tons of grain in the port of Izmail, the Ministry of Reconstruction reported.
Several private grain terminals and warehouses, cargo infrastructure were damaged at once. Agricultural products were destined for Egypt and Romania, the department noted.
Russia is systematically hitting grain containers and warehouses to stop agricultural exports.
According to the Minister of Infrastructure Oleksandr Kubrakov , the export capacity of the Izmail port was reduced by 15% just this night, before that there was the Reni port and 35 thousand tons of grain destroyed there. On August 23, the eighth attack on the port infrastructure took place after Russia withdrew from the Grain Initiative. In total, 270,000 tons of grain were destroyed during the month of attacks on the ports.
“The world must understand that attacks on grain infrastructure are attacks on countries in Africa and Asia, which already lack food. These are attacks on the world food markets, which have already reacted by increasing the price of wheat due to the shortage of Ukrainian food, after the suspension of the Grain Initiative and attacks on the Danube ports,” Kubrakov said.
The minister added that preventing greater destruction is the task not only of Ukraine, but also of the world. And the plans of the Russians can be broken if Ukraine gets powerful defense systems for its ports.
We will remind you that on the night of August 23, Russian troops carried out another attack by drones from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov in Odesa.
