There are power outages in Odesa port due to Russian attacks

Due to Russian attacks on the Ukrainian energy infrastructure, power outages are observed in the Odesa port.

As a result of missile strikes on the energy infrastructure of southern Ukraine, interruptions in the power supply of the port of Odesa and certain sections of the railway network are recorded, the deputy director of the department of commercial work of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” Valerii Tkachev said.

He added that the increase in the unloading of wagons in the ports is hindered by constant air alarms, because the personnel of the port operators are forced to stay in bomb shelters.

Tkachev also spoke about the accumulation of wagons and abandoned trains (due to the fault of the receivers) in the direction of individual terminals, a total of 14 trains.

It will be recalled that on Monday, March 25, the Chief Ombudsman of the Republic of Turkey Sheref Malkoc and the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets visited Odesa Port. The guests saw with their own eyes the destruction of the port infrastructure from the attacks of the aggressor.

As previously reported by USM, the port of Odesa received modern equipment from Japan. This is a Komatsu WA320-5 wheel loader, which will enable restoration and reconstruction of the port infrastructure.
