TOP-5 importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil since the beginning of the year were named

In January-August 2021, 3.09 million tons of sunflower oil were exported from Ukraine, which is 34% less than the same period in 2020 (4.68 million tons).
According to the State Customs Service of Ukraine, in monetary terms, the export of Ukrainian sunflower oil amounted to $3.78 billion, which is 10% more than in January-August 2020 ($ 3.43 billion).
The major importers of Ukrainian sunflower oil in the reporting period were:
India – $1,039.4 million (or 864.35 thousand tons);
China – $580.4 million (506.03 thousand tons);
Netherlands – $395.9 million (324.38 thousand tons);
Spain – $283.79 million (233.04 thousand tons);
Iraq – $272.7 million (231.13 thousand tons).
According to Ukroliyaprom, in 2020/21 MY, 5.277 million tons of sunflower oil were exported from Ukraine, or 98.1% of the volumes determined by the Memorandum.
As a reminder, the Memorandum of Understanding signed on April 19th, 2021 between the Ministry of Economy and the Ukroliyaprom Association defines the maximum export volumes of sunflower oil.
