Transshipment of Metinvest cargo is being completed at CSP Chornomorsk
The State Enterprise “Commercial Sea Port Chornomorsk” has been loading rolled steel products on the Indonesian Bulker vessel for 8 days.
The Indonesian Bulker moored at the port on September 20th. For the last 8 days, the bulk carrier continues to be loaded with rolled metal at the first cargo area of the port. The cargo is delivered to the port by rail and loaded onto the ship as it arrives.
According to Serhii Belyaev, the chief dispatcher of the State Enterprise “CSP Chornomorsk”, the total volume of cargo is almost 31 thousand tons. Now almost 30 thousand tons of rolled steel have been loaded on board the vessel.
As USM found out, the owner of the cargo is Metinvest, a mining and metallurgical company. Rolled steel products are exported to five countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan.
Reference: Indonesian Bulker is a Panama-flagged bulk carrier built in 2017. Home port – Panama. The total length of the vessel is 179.97 m, the width is 29.8 m, the draft is 9.6 m. The deadweight is 37 725 tons.
Earlier, USM reported that in the first half of 2021, Ukrainian ports reduced the volume of cabotage shipments of steel products by 84%, compared to the same period last year.
