Ukraine and China will cooperate in the infrastructure projects construction field
Last Wednesday, June 30th, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov and Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China Wang Wentao has signed an intergovernmental agreement. This will allow the approval of potential cooperation projects that will be supported by PRC funds.
According to the MIU, among the priorities of cooperation are ports, railway transit, airports, communications and municipal engineering construction projects.
According to the agreement, Ukraine and China encourage companies and financial institutions of both countries to actively cooperate in the construction of infrastructure facilities; and also contribute to the establishment of closer economic ties between two countries and provide the necessary assistance and support in the implementation of joint projects.
“The agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on profound cooperation in the construction of infrastructure projects provide the possibilities of funds investment on preferential terms from the government of the People’s Republic of China, necessary for the implementation of infrastructure projects,” the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine said.
As a result of joint consultations, the parties will approve potential cooperation projects that will be supported by PRC funds.
