Ukraine has increased rail grain exports across the western border

In June, the volume of grain cargo transfer by rail increased on the borders with Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
The volume of grain cargo transfer by rail through western border crossings in June showed growth.
This was discussed during an online meeting of representatives of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia with agricultural market participants, writes Rail.insider.
The greatest growth was recorded at Ukrainian-Polish border crossings. In June, the volume of grain transfer increased by 8.9 wagons per day compared to May – to 22.3 wagons.
An average of 53.6 wagons of grain were transferred through Ukrainian-Hungarian border crossings in June. Compared to May, the figure increased by three wagons.
The volume of grain transfer to Slovakia also increased – by 4.8 wagons, to 25.4 wagons per day.
At the same time, the volume of grain cargo transfers on the border with Romania decreased. On average, 0.7 wagons passed through border crossings per day, which is 0.3 wagons less than in May.
