Ukrzaliznytsia presents 18 new container routes
This year, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” plans to present 18 new container routes that will run through the territory of Europe.
In September, Ukrzaliznytsia will present 18 new container routes across Europe. This was stated by the chairman of the board of the company Yevhen Lyashchenko, reports Rail.insider.
“Multimodal business is our main direction. It is about the reconstruction and development of terminals throughout Ukraine. We are currently building a powerful network of container terminals. There will be new cross-European routes that will allow both European and Ukrainian customers to work effectively. It will, in fact, be like a single ticket: a single tariff and a clear approach in terms of speed and price,” Lyashchenko commented.
The chairman of the UZ board also said that Ukrzaliznytsia has already launched container trains that transport not only commodities (for example, raw materials: coal, grain, ore), but also mass consumption goods with added value (so-called fast moving consumer goods).
We will remind, JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” set another record in March. The company transported 16 million tons of cargo.
