“Visa-free trade” of Ukraine and the EU has begun to operate
“Visa-free trade” with Ukraine entered into force in the EU, within which all import duties and quotas for Ukrainian exports are suspended.
“Visa-free” entered into force on June 6, reports Ukrinform with reference to the notification of the European Commission.
Updated regulatory rules on the application of FTAs (autonomous trade measures) take into account the concerns of European workers. Also, the rules contain strengthened protective mechanisms and the possibility of urgent termination of AZT in the event of an emergency situation on the European market in relation to a specified range of goods. The list includes eggs, poultry, sugar, oats, corn, groats and honey.
Updated AZT will be valid until June 5, 2025.
Earlier, USM reported that the European Union extended the “visa-free trade” with Ukraine for another year.
