ARMA has chosen a new manager for the arrested Russian companies

The Agency for Search and Asset Management (ARMA) signed management contracts with the private enterprise “Marinex” for the management of 10 vessels.

The company “Marinex” became the manager of the arrested ships. The company became the winner of the open tender for asset management, the press service of АRМА reported.

Under the terms of the agreements, the monthly amount of guarantee payments to the state budget will amount to more than UAH 5.7 million.

“This is a significant improvement compared to the previous management: previously 9 vessels under the management of Sof Marine LLC brought in only UAH 10,000 per month. Thus, the new revenues in one month are equivalent to more than four years of payments of the previous manager,” the message reads.

For the first time, the ship Emmakris II, which is located in the port of Chornomorsk and which, according to the decision of the Kyiv court, has no right to leave the port, will be taken over for the first time. Despite this limitation, an independent appraiser concluded that the vessel could be effectively used as a floating granary for transhipment and storage of dry cargo.

Emmakris III was built in 2000. Deadweight — 73,281 tons. Draft — 6.8 m, length — 225 m, width — 32.26 m.

It will be recalled that Emmakris III was blocked in the port of Chornomorsk at the beginning of the full-scale war. In the summer of 2022, the ship was arrested. Its registered owner is Greater Bloom Limited from the UAE, but the ship is actually owned by a Russian company registered in Rostov-on-Don.
