Moldova will exempt Ukrainian grain heading to ports from inspections

Ukrainian grain transiting through Moldova will be exempted from inspection by the National Food Safety Agency (ANSA).

On July 11, the Parliament of Moldova temporarily canceled the law “On Plant Protection and Phytosanitary Quarantine” regarding Ukrainian grain. News Maker writes about it.

The decision was made regarding grain that goes through the territory of Moldova to the ports of Reni and Galati. Inspections were canceled until September 14.

“This type of goods crosses the territory of our country in specialized vehicles, so the risk of importing quarantine organisms is small,” the press release of the parliament says.

In case of incidents with transport or cargo during transit through Moldova, carriers must notify ANSA of the event within two hours.
