Ukrainian Navy receives American RAB-type river boats (video)

The Ukrainian Navy has been replenished with boats used for river and coastal operations.
The Ukrainian Navy has received boats similar to the American Riverine Assault Boat (RAB). This is evidenced by a video published by the press service of the Ukrainian Navy, “Militarnyi”writes.
The boats have already been involved in river crossing and amphibious landing exercises. Based on characteristic features such as camouflage, sides, stern panel and machine gun mounts, it can be concluded that this is the RAB. However, there is a possibility that this could be their “specialized relative” – SOC-R (Special Operations Craft – Riverine).
The RAB and SOC-R boats are designed for river and coastal operations. Their length is about 10 meters, draft – about 0.6 meters, and the maximum speed with full load reaches 40 knots. The hulls of the boats are made of aluminum, which ensures ease of transportation by vehicles, airplanes or helicopters.
The crew of the boats is up to 6 people for the RAB and up to 8 people for the SOC-R (depending on the armament). Up to six machine guns can be installed on board, and the hull provides protection for the crew from light small arms.
