The line of wagons in Reni has reached a critical level
878 wagons go to the port of Reni. Reni railway station is on the verge of stopping.
At the station Reni, a critical situation has developed with the accumulation of wagons. Currently, 878 units of rolling stock are heading to the port of Reni. This is reported by Rail.Insider.
Out of 878 wagons, more than 350 units are intended for the port of Galati. The situation is complicated by the fact that Odesa Railway cannot plan the transfer of wagons at least three days in advance, because it does not receive relevant information from foreign colleagues. The station is almost on the verge of stopping, stressed Rustam Rustamov, the head of the Odesa Directorate of Railway Transportation of the Odesa Railway regional branch of the UZ.
At the same time, 758 wagons go to the junction Serpneve-1 – Basarabiaska, of which 600 are for the Romanian port of Galati.
“The longer the planning horizon, the better the work will be, the more efficiently all our services and, most importantly, the joint will work,” concluded Valery Tkachev, deputy director of the Department of Commercial Work of the UZ.
Previously, USM wrote that more than 100 wagons of grain pass through the Ukrainian-Romanian border every day.
