Turkey doubled imports of ore from Ukraine


In January-October 2021, Turkish metallurgical enterprises imported 960.9 thousand tons of iron ore from Ukraine. This figure is 2.1 times higher than in the same period in 2020.

At the same time, in October, Turkey imported 153.5 thousand tons of ore from Ukraine, which is 4.3% than in October 2020.

In general, Turkey imported 9.11 million tons of iron ore in January-October, which is 9.9% more compared to the same period in 2020.

More than half of the total volume of Turkey’s ore was supplied by Brazil. The share of Ukraine is 11%.
