Ukraine has increased the export of scrap metal 78 times


Ukrainian enterprises in November increased the export of scrap metal 78.5 times compared to the corresponding month of 2020 – to 44 thousand tons.

In monetary terms, the supply of scrap abroad increased by 45.9 times – to $16.2 million, writes GMK Center citting customs statistics.

In January-November, the country increased its raw materials export proceeds 24.8 times compared to the same period last year – to $211.9 million. For 11 months, scrap collectors exported 547.2 thousand tons. This is 16.6 times more than in January-November 2020.

The main consumer of Ukrainian scrap is Turkey (84.8%). Romania’s share in the total export of Ukrainian scrap in January-November amounted to 7.5%. Poland is in third place – 3.7%.
